What to Expect

A hot air balloon flight over the Yarra Valley is one of life's most memorable experiences that you'll want to treasure forever. Taking off at dawn, you'll rise above the patchwork landscape and float gently over the scenic Yarra Valley, one of Australia's premier wine regions. Sunrise tones highlight deep hues of the vineyards set amongst the meandering bends of the Yarra river.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your pilot and driven to the launch site. Here you can help the pilot inflate the balloon or sit back and watch the action as the balloon slowly rises into the early morning air. Then it's into the balloon for an amazing 60 minute flight over the Yarra Valley.

When you return with your feet firmly on the ground, you'll be served a sensational 5 star gourmet champagne breakfast at the stunning Balgownie Estate Winery.

Your experience voucher is valid for 1 person. Up to 64 passengers can be catered for at one time.

Weather

By its nature, hot air ballooning is highly dependent upon weather conditions. You are requested to call the pilot the night before your flight.

Duration

The experience lasts between 5 - 6 hours with approximately 1 hour flying time.

Dress

Dress in comfortable clothing for the season. Wear waterproof shoes and warm socks. A hat is a good idea to protect you from the radiant heat out of the balloon burners.
