What to expectWhat to Expect

If you've always wanted to fly in a hot air balloon, experience the romance and wonder of this 'must do' activity, on the Gold Coast. Start your day, helping the pilot inflate the balloon. Watch the sun rise over the rolling hills of the majestic Gold Coast hinterland; enjoy sweeping views of Mt Tamborine and Lamington National Park.

Your balloon ride continues for approximately 30 minutes. Plenty of time to take in the incredible scenery down below.

After landing, enjoy a delicious hot breakfast in the gracious ambiance of a historic Grand Homestead where you can share your adventure with others. To help you remember your flight, you'll be presented with a commemorative flight certificate to take home.

Weather restrictions includeWeather

As with the majority of flying experiences, hot air ballooning is subject to the weather. In the event of a cancelled day, we will offer to rebook you to another day.

The duration of the experienceDuration

Allow 5 hours for the entire experience including transfers. 30 minutes is spent in the air.

How to dress on the dayDress

Dress as for a casual walk in the bush, sensible sturdy shoes are recommended. We suggest you bring sunglasses, a hat/cap and dress in layered clothing.

We fly daily except for Christmas and New Years day and we have very few cancelled days due to bad weather.

There is also an additional compulsory Aviation insurance levy of $30 per person payable on the day of travel. Remember to bring your camera.

You should be able to climb into the basket unaided. The basket is 120cm high with 2 foot holes. Pregnant persons should seek advice from their Doctor before participating in a balloon journey. If you are pregnant, the Operator accepts no liability for any damage or injury caused
