What to Expect

Come feel the thrill and excitement of hot air ballooning. Float like a cloud as you witness the sunrise climbing over the unforgettable panorama of Surfers Paradise. Watch the sun reflecting off the myriad of canals and waterways and view the surrounding forest covered mountains of the Gold Coast Hinterland - this is truly the most spectacular flying area in Australia. As you are flying you will feel no wind because you have become the wind. You are being transported on an aerial nature by the worlds oldest and most romantic form of flight.

Numbers

As a guide there can be between 4 and 16 passengers in the hot air balloon.

Weather

Balloons are weather dependent. Safety is the first consideration and flights can be cancelled. If your flight is cancelled the operator will book you on the next available flight.

Duration

The hot air balloon flight lasts approximately 1 hour and the complete experience 4 to 5 hours.

Dress

We recommend comfortable casual clothes and a hat, fully enclosed footwear is essential, no thongs. It is no colder in the balloon than on the ground.

Availability

The experience is available all year round. The meeting time varies according to the season but generally 30 minutes prior to sunrise. Summer meeting time is 4:30am. Winter meeting time is 6am

Other Information

Bring a camera. You'll have lots of opportunity to capture great pictures. A complimentary pick up and return service is available from hotels and apartments - restricted area. Your pick up time will be advised at the time you make your booking.

Valid for children 3-14 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Spectators are welcome to see you off and can join you for breakfast for an extra cost payable to the operator on the day. You will need to advise the operator of your weight during the booking process.
