Children's Horse Care Day

An ideal gift for the child horse lover. Spend time with a friend caring for horses. They'll have great fun feeding, grooming, saddling, riding and caring for horses under expert guidance. Children do not need to have any previous experience with horses, for ages 7 to 10 the times are slightly different for an afternoon period instead 12:30pm till 5:30.

What to expectWhat to Expect

Mum and Dad deserve a day off sometimes so why not have a day to yourselves while knowing your child is in expert hands on one of our Horse Care Days, your child will arrive at 9:30am and spend their day learning how to groom and saddle a horse, they will also go out on 2 different rides with a lunch break in between (BYO packed lunch) and come home tired and happy at 3:30pm ready for a good nights sleep.

How to dress on the dayDress

Wear comfortable clothing and long pants and allow for some extra warm clothing during the cooler seasons. If you have an approved hat you are welcome to bring it, or the centre will provide one.

No riding experience is necessary. This experience is suitable for total beginners. Mounts are chosen according to age, weight and experience.
