Feel the wind in your hair, the ocean spray in your face and enjoy the scenery as you speed across the water An Introduction to Sailing course is a great way to learn this exhilarating sport. You will be taught a series of techniques to guide you into being a skilled and competent sailor. You will learn safety, basic rigging, launching and landing, turns and manoeuvres, sailing across the wind, and more You'll fall in love with sailing as our idyllic locations and our friendly instructors ensure maximum enjoyment

Enjoy a 2 hour sailing lesson with a qualified instructor, where you'll learn new skills.

Learn safety, rigging, controlling and turning your craft, wind, weather, self rescue, and more

All equipment is safety checked, maintained and provided so you can focus on the fun

Our instructors will be with you at all times in our safety boat as you venture out onto the water.

Duration

Lesson is 2 hours. Times can vary due to conditions. Please arrive 15 mins prior to start time.

Weather

Sailing is a weather dependent sport, and lessons may be postponed due to unsuitable conditions. Customers can call ahead to check availability after booking.

Other Information

After the completion of the course we recommend practice on the water to refine your skills. You can hire a Hobiecat at a cost of $50.00 an hour with our instructors keeping an eye on you. Special offers available. Spectators are welcome.
You must be a confident swimmer in order to participate. We will provide you with a buoyancy aid which must be worn at all times. This experience can be enjoyed from 10 years upwards. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. You will be required to sign a waiver form on arrival.

Availability

The Introduction to Sailing course is available throughout the year weekdays and at weekends. We run morning and afternoon lessons.
