What to Expect

Experience adventure and tranquility on a kayak tour of Williamstown, a vibrant sea side town steeped in history. Observe cargo ships, paddle amongst yachts and jetties while ferries and sea planes hustle in and out of this port. Your options include paddling under the West Gate Bridge, paddling over the channel to Sandridge Beach or paddling along the protected waters of Williamstown foreshore. Whatever you choose, you'll get a taste for what sea kayaking is all about without travelling too far out of town.

Numbers

Voucher valid for one person. There will be a minimum of 4 and maximum of 12 people on the trip.

Weather

This experience may be affected by the weather. If the wind forecast is over 20 knots or if there are lightning predictions, then the tour will be rescheduled to another time.

Duration

The tour commences 9 am and completes at 12:00pm or 1pm and completes at 4pm

Dress

You need to bring dry clothes. You are supplied with a sea kayak, paddle, spray deck, buoyancy vest, pump and spray jacket, paddle leashes, dry bags, paddle jackets.

Availability

Tours operate every day of the year, subject to demand. Our busiest times include weekends and the hotter months between October and April.

Other Information

You'll be required to sign an indemnity form and complete a medical questionnaire prior to participating in the experience.

You must be at least 14 years of age and have a reasonable level of fitness. You should be confident in and around water and you should be able to swim at least 50m. This experience is not suitable if you have a bad back, broken bones, wrist or shoulder injuries.
