For this flight, we'll meet at Rochford Wines about a half an hour before sunrise (or at the time specified by the pilot) and you'll get a briefing from the pilot. You'll be taken to the launch site, where you will be encouraged to participate in getting the hot air balloon ready for flight. You can also stand back and watch, but either way have your camera at the ready. You'll want to capture this amazing process on film!

Once the balloon is ready, you'll step in, lift off and drift over the gorgeous Yarra Valley as it wakes. During first light, you'll be able to enjoy the beauty of the area. Hot air ballooning over the Yarra Valley takes on a special feel in these early morning hours and we'll soak it up.

Once the flight is over, you can help to pack away our beautiful balloon or if you'd like, sit back and watch as the balloon deflates. With the balloon packed away, we return together to Rochford wines to celebrate the occasion with a buffet Chandon breakfast.

Flights are weather dependant. If weather is changeable, you might be asked to talk to the pilot in the morning to confirm the flight will go ahead.

Other Information

Some additional items of clothing to include : a hat, extra socks and sunglasses. The burners can sometimes drip water mixed with carbon. The operator is not responsible for clothing that is stained or damaged as a part of the adventure activity.
Children under the age of 6 are not allowed on these hot air ballooning adventures. You will be asked your weight when booking.
