What to Expect

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fly in a hot air balloon? Then enjoy hot air ballooning and experience the wonder, romance and silence of the Australian bush. Before lift off see the spectacle of how a hot air balloon inflates and takes shape, then hop in and take off to gently float over gum trees for an amazing sixty minute flight. Gaze out as the Australian landscape stretches out as far as the eye can see. Get carried away with the fun but don't forget to look out for kangaroos, hear the sounds of nature below, have a chat to your friendly pilot and enjoy flying.

Numbers

Voucher valid for one person. There may be up to 12-20 passengers per balloon.

Weather

As with the majority of flying experiences, hot air ballooning is subject to the weather. In the event of a cancelled day, we will offer to rebook you to another day.

Duration

Allow 5 hours for the entire experience including transfers. 60 minutes is spent in the air.

Dress

Dress as for a casual walk in the bush, sensible sturdy shoes are recommended. We suggest you bring sunglasses, a hat/cap and dress in layered clothing.

Availability

We fly daily except for Christmas and New Years day and we have very few cancelled days due to bad weather. On average 340 perfect flying days per year.

Other Information

There is also an additional compulsory Aviation insurance levy of $30 per person payable on the day of travel. Remember to bring your camera.

You should be able to climb into the basket unaided. The basket is 120cm high with 2 foot holes. Pregnant persons should seek advice from their Doctor before participating in a balloon journey. If you are pregnant, the Operator accepts no liability for any damage or injury caused
